29-30.04.2018 - Sound design
Sound designing was one of the most difficult jobs I encountered during the making of this film. Unfortunately for me, my sound recordist was not able to design the sound and I have taken this responsibility. It's been hard for me to work with sound, but I managed to do a great job and I am happy with the result.

Basically, this was the last step of making 'Wet Paint'. A trailer will be uploaded on YouTube and on the main page in a couple of weeks.

27-28.04.2018 - Color editing in progress
Jenny finished color editing the film over a couple of days, nicely balancing the cold and warm contrast between the interiors and the exteriors. It's been a pleasant experience and I find it one of the most creative aspects of making a film, because you can highlight a certain shape or feeling by means of color for your audience.

10.04.2018 - That's a wrap
On Tuesday, the 10th of April, my crew and I wrapped around 23:00, after 6 hours of shooting on location. It's been a long and difficult journey, but now it's all over. During this last day, we managed to shoot the last two scenes of the script - one on Quayside and one in Exhibition Park.
Even though it kept drizzling throughout the entire day, the weather didn't stop us filming.

Let the rest of post-production begin!

1.04.2018 - Location recce
On the 1st of April I went to scout our last shooting location in Town Moor park, Newcastle upon Tyne. It's been a nice walk and the recce turned out to be really useful for the shooting prep. Thinking ahead all the shots before arriving on set can save me and my crew plenty of time that is crucial for the sake of the shooting day, as it is a night shoot and the night just became shorter due to the summer time. We hope our last filming day to be a pleasant one, with no weather surprises.

27.03.2018 - Small steps
It's been a long day in the editing room for me and Jenny. Strong nerves, that's what you need when you go at full speed into post-production. Luckily for me, Jenny handles stress well and we successfully made the rough cut for the first 5 minutes of the film. I'm really excited about what it's going to look like and I am pleased of how it looks so far.

Excitement and stress were the words for the day. Nice mix, isn't it?

26.03.2018 - Interview with the actor
The crew is strongly engaged with the production process and collaborates in order to get the best out of the project they are involved in. But they are not the only ones to work hard and struggle to exceed the people's expectations.

On the 26th of March, Adam accepted my invitation for an interview. I was pleasantly surprised to find more about my main actor and his plans for the future. His interview will be uploaded soon. Until then, check the gallery page for behind the scenes pictures.
